Nature's Brushstrokes, A 4 week Journey Through Sea, Forest, and Sky!
Discover the beauty of nature through the calming art of watercolour. In this unique, year-round course, we’ll explore three breathtaking elements of the natural world—the Sea, the Forest, and the Sky.
Have you ever longed to paint the natural world, but felt unsure where to start?
I’ve taken my much-loved Nature’s Brushstrokes series from YouTube and turned it into a beautifully organised, fully downloadable course — perfect for beginners and those wanting to reconnect with their creativity.
In this self-paced course, you’ll learn how to:
• Observe nature with fresh eyes
• Explore expressive brushstroke techniques
• Create vibrant, joyful studies of leaves, trees, skies, and more
• Use colour, texture, and mark-making to develop your own artistic style
• Let go of perfection and simply enjoy the process of painting
🌸 You’ll also receive:
✔ Lifetime access to all lessons
✔ Printable materials for your art journal
✔ My gentle guidance throughout
✔ A chance to make art that feels like you
Here’s what one of my lovely students said:
"I’ve never felt so free with my painting. Cate’s calm voice and simple techniques gave me the confidence to just begin. Thank you!"
Your Instructor
Hello, I'm Cate Field — artist, writer, and teacher with more than 30 years’ experience nurturing creativity in others. I specialise in creating gentle, encouraging courses that help people reconnect with their artistic spirit, whatever their background or experience.
I hold a Master’s degree in Fine Art and have taught art and creative thinking across schools, universities, and community settings. My approach is kind, uplifting, and grounded in the belief that everyone has a creative voice worth hearing.
I now live by the sea in Dorset, drawing inspiration from the natural world and the quiet rhythms of the seasons. Through my courses, books, and YouTube channel, I support people in developing artistic confidence — whether they’re just beginning, returning after a long break, or simply in need of a little creative joy.
When you join one of my courses, you’re not just learning techniques — you’re entering a space where your creativity is honoured, your pace is respected, and your unique way of seeing the world is celebrated.
